Statement of Faith

The Christian Academy of Guatemala is a ministry to the expatriate, English-speaking, evangelical missionary community, serving as an extension of the home, in partnership with the parents. C.A.G. is committed to the historic Christian faith as set forth in the Bible, recognizing God as the creator of all things, and Jesus Christ as Lord. We hold that the knowledge and fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and that fellowship with God is the basis for true fellowship and relationship with one another.

We believe that each student, uniquely created in the image of God, is of supreme worth. We believe that the dignity and worth of the individual should be respected. We believe that students vary as to inherent and acquired capabilities and that these differences must be taken into consideration in the educational process.

Therefore, the purpose of education at C.A.G. is to encourage students to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ, to acquire the academic knowledge and skills to serve both God and man, and to view all of life and creation according to the Bible and from Christ's perspective. Our goal is that students reach their full potential and apply what they have learned to the world around them.

Christian Community

At CAG, educating MK's is a family thing. Well over half the school's parents are involved as school staff, coaches, room mothers, teacher's aides, guest speakers and lecturers, secretaries and in other strategic serving ministries. Parents, teachers, administrators and students all work together to help meet MK needs.

School Profile

CAG is a non-profit, non-denominational, private school whose ministry is to the English speaking, missionary community of Guatemala. We have a total enrollment of over 200 students (K-12) representing over 50 mission boards. While we do accept a few non-missionary families from the U.S. embassy and local business community, our focus has always been on the M.K. CAG is an ACSI member school.

Outstanding Faculty and Administration

CAG students study a traditional, yet fully faith-integrated curriculum, led by a professional staff of certified teachers and administrators. Since the inception in 1974, the multi-mission faculty has served an interdenominational and international student body.
