Christian Academy of Guatemala exists to support the Christian community in Guatemala by providing a biblically based, quality English education to prepare lives for Christian service.

Vision

Students at Christian Academy of Guatemala will be grounded in God’s Word and challenged to achieve academic excellence as they prepare to use their gifts and abilities effectively to follow God’s plan for their lives.

Philosophy Statement

Christian Academy of Guatemala is primarily a ministry to the English-speaking, multinational, evangelical, missionary community. The spiritual and academic development of the student is a shared commitment by the administration, faculty, staff, and parents. C.A.G. is committed to the historic Christian faith as set forth in the Bible, recognizing God as the creator of all things, Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and the Holy Spirit as a counselor. We hold that the knowledge and fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and that a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the basis for true fellowship and relationship with one another.

We believe that each student, uniquely created in the image of God, is of supreme worth. We believe that the dignity and worth of the individual should be respected. We believe that students vary as to inherent and acquired capabilities and that these differences must be taken into consideration in the educational process.

Therefore, the purpose of education at C.A.G. is to encourage students to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ, to acquire the academic knowledge and skills to serve both God and man, and to view all of life and creation according to the Bible and from Christ's perspective. Our goal is that students reach their full potential and are prepared to positively impact the world around them.
